Welcome to Northwestern Center for Orthopedics! I would like to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself and my experience in healthcare. I am originally from the Chicago area, and I earned my medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Following graduation, I completed my internship at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago. For the next four year, I continued advanced training in my chosen specialty, orthopedic surgery, as a resident and chief resident at Northwestern University. In addition, I pursued subspecialty training, or a fellowship, in hand surgery as part of the Mary S. Stern Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Program in Cincinnati, Ohio. My practice is focused on the treatment of disorders of the hand and upper extremity, including the shoulder. It brings me great pleasure to apply state-of-the-art, proven procedures to restore mobility and help patients return to an active lifestyle. I strive to provide you as much information as possible to ensure that you make an informed decision on you treatment options. I joined Northwestern Center for Orthopedics in 2000, and since then it has been my mission to provide you the same excellent service and care that I would offer to a member of my family. I enjoy teaching at Northwestern University Medical School and being involved in education with both the orthopedic surgery residency program and the medical school. I am active in medical research and have published several articles and presented my papers at several national and international meetings. In addition to my extensive medical commitments, I enjoy exercising, cycling, and spending time with my family. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to further improve your experience at Northwestern Center for Orthopedics. My goal is to provide you the best care available. I am looking forward to meeting with you. Sincerely, Brian J. Hartigan, M.D.
From Dr. HartiganI do realize that the extra time we require before your office visit might be a little inconvenient; however, it ensures that we have your correct information to help us better manage your care. Additionally, I apologize in advance in case you have to wait to see me. In some cases, patients require special attention or I may have calls to the hospital to manage surgical patients' care. Under such circumstances, the staff of Northwestern Center for Orthopedics and I will do our best to see you as soon as possible and make sure you receive individualized attention. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
