Dear New Patient,

Welcome to Northwestern Center for Orthopedics!

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself and my experience in healthcare. I am originally from Joliet, Illinois, and I earned my medical degree at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Following graduation, I completed my internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. For the next four years, I continued advanced training in my chosen specialty, orthopedic surgery, as part of my residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, V.A. Lakeside Hospital, Cook County Hospital, and Children's Memorial Hospital.

My practice is focused on general orthopedics and treatment of foot and ankle conditions in children and adults. It brings me great pleasure to apply state-of-the-art proven procedures to restore mobility and help patients return to an active lifestyle. I strive to provide you as much information as possible to ensure that you make an informed decision on your treatment options. I joined the practice now known as Northwestern Center for Orthopedics in 1979, which is the same year I joined the faculty at Northwestern University Medical School.

In addition to my extensive medical commitments, I enjoy golfing, photography, and spending time with my family.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to further improve your experience at Northwestern Center for Orthopedics. I always strive to provide you the best and most up-to-date medical care available.

I am looking forward to meeting with you.

Sincerely,

Clare R. Giegerich, M.D.

    From Dr. Giegerich

I do realize that the extra time we require before your office visit might be a little inconvenient; however, it ensures that we have your correct information to help us better manage your care.

Additionally, I apologize in advance in case you have to wait to see me. In some cases, patients require special attention or I may have calls to the hospital to manage surgical patients' care. Under such circumstances, the staff of Northwestern Center for Orthopedics and I will do our best to see you as soon as possible and make sure you receive individualized attention.
